It’s not often we get to see the awesome “Game Shakers” crew out of character, but it’s always a huge treat when we do!
This “Game Shakers” exclusive is a perfect example of this. The four Game Shakers — Maddie Shipman, Cree Cicchino, Thomas Kuc, and Benjamin Flores Jr. — are interviewed about their experience on the show along with Kel Mitchell, who plays superstar rapper Double G.
You should definitely watch the whole video, but here are four of the best revelations!
1. The actors are a lot like their characters.
Each of the Game Shakers kids relates to their character in pretty significant ways. Maddie Shipman says she’s a nerd like Kenzie; Cree and Babe both have a New York attitude; Thomas is witty like his character Hudson, and Benji and Triple G both have swag. Kel, on the other hand says he’s not as wild as Double G… a character the cast agrees is more of a Kanye.
2. The actors have hidden talents.
We knew the actors were talented, but it turns out they can do a lot more than act! Maddie plays at least four instruments and sings, Cree is a self-described “animal whisperer,” Thomas is a competitive gymnast and surfer, and Kel can yawn like a Chewbacca!
3. Kel grew up working with Dan Schneider.
As most of us know, Kel Mitchell is a Nickelodeon legend — as he points out, his name is a part of Nickelodeon! He worked with producer Dan Schneider all the way back in his “All That”, “Kenan & Kel” and “Good Burger” days. “Man, it’s exciting to be back,” Kel says. His favorite part? Having parents and kids as fans that grew up watching him.
4. You can play Sky Whale in real life!
Much has withstood the test of time in Dan Schneider’s shows — some of the crew, humor, and methodology, for starters — but a lot has changed too. The main change has been the addition of new technology and social media. With new technology integration, fans can interact with the show and even download the games like Sky Whale!
Bonus: The kids of “Game Shakers” agree: Narwhals are the unicorns of the sea. You’re welcome!
