Since “Victorious” wrapped in 2013, the former students of Hollywood Arts have been keeping busy! Between acting, music and hosting gigs, these young stars grew into young adult stars. We’re so proud to see such an incredible group of kids doing awesome things. Here’s what the cast of “Victorious” has been up to recently:
After Victoria Justice hung up her Tori boots, she has dabbled in both her music and acting passions. Most recently, Victoria starred as Lindy in the dark murder-mystery MTV series “Eye Candy”. At the same time she’s also dropped a few new tracks like “Gold” and “Girl Up.” We can’t wait to see her as Janet in the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” revival.
Be sure to catch her and Avan Jogia (“Victorious’” Beck Oliver) back together in the new upcoming comedy “The Outskirts.”
After horrifying us all with her fantastic performance of Jade West, Liz Gilles has been doing the dual singer/actress role just like many of her former co-stars. You might have seen Liz as Heather in the latest “Vacation” movie or on TV as Gigi in the FX series “Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll,” where she gets to completely rock out.
With an arsenal of talents that also includes being a Broadway actress (where she debuted at 15!), look out for Liz. She could pop up anywhere!
Avan Jogia has kept himself very busy since we last saw him as too-cool Beck Oliver. In 2013, he played Danny on the first season of the ABC Family series “Twisted.” The following year, Avan stepped into one of history’s most famous names: King Tut. Avan did a fantastic performance in Spike’s miniseries “Tut”, receiving critical acclaim as the naive, influential king that would go down in history. Today, he has a slew of new projects in the mix like “The Outskirts,” where he and Victoria Justice will reunite, and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” where he’ll play Puck.
Avan is also a passionate supporter of young people through his Straight But Not Narrow foundation that strives to positively influence straight youth and young adults about the perception of, and behavior toward, their LGBT peers.
After her Hollywood Arts days ended, Daniella Monet stuck around with the Nickelodeon family, much to everyone’s delight! Monet is host of Nick’s Hawaii-based game show “Paradise Run”, and is the the host of Nick’s “AwesomenessTV.” Daniella’s also appeared on episodes of “Melissa & Joey” and “Baby Daddy” where she played Sam. When not working hard on set, she is working passionately for the rights and fair treatment of animals.
Leon Thomas III
Leon Thomas‘ post-”Victorious” career has been awesome! While he’s done a couple of acting roles since leaving Hollywood Arts, Leon’s busy with his music career. As part of the group The Rascals, Leon won a Grammy for their work on Toni Braxton and Babyface’s “Love, Marriage & Divorce” album. Some other names he’s worked with include Wiz Khalifa, Drake, Rihanna and his Victorious co-star Ariana Grande.
Check out this throwback pic of Leon and Victoria on Dan Schneider’s Instagram:
After playing Robbie, Matt Bennett has dabbled in music and acting as well. He released an EP, “Warm Fuzzies,” in 2012 and has a new concept album about to drop this summer— we can’t wait to hear it! You might have also recently seen him on “The Big Bang Theory” as Howard’s younger brother Josh and on “Fresh Off the Boat.”
In 2015, Matt linked back up with Ariana Grande to play the boyfriend in her video for One Last Time. And, of course, he recently starred as himself in the hysterical “Game Shakers” episode “Tiny Pickles” (alongside fellow Schneider’s Bakery alum Yvette Nicole Brown!!)
After “Victorious,” Ariana Grande took her Cat role to “Sam & Cat”. Since then, her music and acting careers have blown up! Her debut album “Yours Truly” was released in 2013 and skyrocketed to #1! She has toured with Justin Bieber, worked on tracks with superstars and even sang at the White House! She dropped her second album “My Everything” in 2014 and it also debuted at the top of the charts, and most recently wowed fans with her show-stopping 2016 album “Dangerous Woman”.
Ari’s comedic genius continues to shine through during her visits to late night talk shows, and of course, she made us all cry laughing when she served as host and musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” in 2016.
Ari also runs a fashion line and has her own perfume. What can’t this lady do?!
