On this episode of Dan Schneider’s hit show “The Game Shakers,” Double G announces he’s running for mayor of the city, and the paparazzi start buzzing around his every move. After meeting a woman holding a baby, Double G gets a little scared of the child and even admits (ahem, screams at the top of his lungs in a complete and utter full-bodied panic) that he hates babies. This surprisingly doesn’t go down well with the public, and he retreats to Fooders to contemplate his political future.
As it turns out, hating babies isn’t a great strategy when you’re running for office! But why does he hate babies, exactly? Most people love them! And Double G raised a son, Triple G. “Baby hater” gives us a flashback of the night of Trip’s birth, when Dub is cooing over his new baby boy and gets locked in the nursery overnight. The cacophony of tens of upset babies drives him slowly insane and he has feared babies ever since.
To get Double G back in the good graces of the public and help him get over his irrational baby-phobia, the Game Shakers hatch up a plan to give him a fake baby in front of a slew of journalists. The exclusive video from Dan Schneider above shows just how poorly this plan goes.
First Triple G and Kenzie program the fake baby to cry and giggle. Things are going well until the baby malfunctions and literally catches fire. As it turns out, the only thing Double G might hate more than babies are fake robot babies consumed by flames! Can you really blame him, though?
A manic Double G runs up and down the stage screaming at the top of his lungs before smacking the baby-bot against one of the podiums. Judging by this episode and the flaming misstep on his Reggae Potato Christmas Special, it might be time for our friend Double G to invest in a portable fire extinguisher!
The pandemonium continues, and ends with Double G drop kicking the malfunctioning baby across the room and through a window! Say what you will about politics, but that’s a memorable campaign event.
The audience is floored, the journalists are frozen, and Double G simply leans into the microphone and asks, “Next question?”
